Hot food servers are designed to hold cooked foods at a safe serving temperature with a proper moisture content. Hot food can be placed into the drawer either directly or in a separate open pans or containers. Holding temperature and moisture content can be set for the type of food being held.

The Toastmaster 3B84DT09 has a frame that is constructed of welded and reinforced sheet steel. The exterior cabinet and drawer fronts are made of stainless-steel with an aluminized steel inner lining. The drawers are equipped with a handle that has an operated latching mechanism and positive stop. It is fully insulated on all six-sides, this includes the drawer fronts.

This unit is designed to hold precooked foods at serving temperatures. It is ideal for baked potatoes, vegetables, ribs, buns and rolls. The temperature is adjustable from 100 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, with an “OFF” position that is available. A thermometer accurately reflects the temperature. This feature is to ensure that all food products are being held at a temperature above bacterial growth levels. The thermostat control is mounted on the front, right below the drawer with an adjacent signal light. The knob is protected by a knob guard. Located at the center front, right above the drawer is the moister control adjustment knob.
